Cultural Credits

Featured projects are developed and performed with help from governments, local institutions, artists and students. Here is a shortlist:

1990 Change of Atmosphere was initiated by Judith Gor and Erik Hehenkamp for Foundation Light and performed with help of Het Muziektheater Amsterdam. Thanks to the Dutch Chamber Choir and to a lot of alpinist facade climbing artists.

1996 Building Scenes, a project by Foundation OA, founded by Erik Hehenkamp, Patrick Straatman and Luc Willekens. Artists, architects and scientists working on the theme of climate impact and degeneration. Thanks to Stimuleringsfonds voor Architectuur – Incentive Fund for Architecture -, Architectuur Instituut Rotterdam and Technical University Eindhoven.

1999 YCity is a water project by OA at Oosterdok Amsterdam. Dance and theater on floating art works, created to test movable public spaces. Thanks to the Municipality of Amsterdam, Prins Bernhard Fonds and Mondriaanfonds.

2001 Verbindingen – Connections – is a project at Zuidas Amsterdam. Connections between working and and living, the lack of culural facilities. Thanks to students of Sandberg Institute. Art work, dance, theater, symposia and published tour guide thanks to the World Trade Centre and the Municipality of Amsterdam. Thanks also to Van Eesterenfonds.

2004 CultuurNatuur was initiated by OA at Amstelpark Amsterdam and performed by Johan Lammerink, Leta Spooren, Weijke Koopmans, Erik Hehenkamp and many others with a theater tour, a waterballet and site specific art objects.

2015 OASE aan de Zuidas. Price contest winning project of Erik Hehenkamp of Ontwerpers Adam. Cultural program implemented in Amsterdam Bussines region. Thanks to Ward Massa, Albert Hamminga and Methap Karasu. Thanks to Anke Hendriks of Amsterdam University for her Master Thesis on the cultural and social aspects of OASE.

2010 – 2024 Several projects at the Techical University of Delft. Antakya Turkey, Maldives, Pakistan, Tokio, Azraq, Sint Maarten and Kherson Ukraine. Projects of students of TU Delft, Architecture and The Built Environment, studio Extreme coordinated by Job Schroen. Rebuilding after war and earth quake damage, anticipating on migration, impact of climate change, flooding. Research, knowlegde exchange and aid on site thanks to UNHCR, UNDP, UNICEF, LECReD, thanks to the Turkish Consul, Yildiz Technical University, the Ministry of Infrastructure, CARE International, CARE Shelter team, Red Cross St Maarten, ARUB and Foster and Partners Architects.

Thanks to graduation students for inspiring us with new ideas, concepts and themes on sustainability, urban environments, architecture, bio based building and inclusive use of public space. Special thanks to the graduation students of Explore Lab of the faculty of TU Delft Architecture and The Built Environment; Meriam Sehimi, Petar Kukec, Tijs van der Eng, Nikola Caporaso, Lise Sarda, Dana Awad, Bastian Schleier, Elodie Fabre, Ana Maria Suso, Melle Haak, Leyla van der Waarde and the coordinator of the studio Roel van de Pas.

Thanks, last but not least, to Sigrid Niedermayer guiding us at UNESCO Headquarters Paris, at the General Conference of 2023.
