Manifesto

Manifesto 2025

“The European use of the term Culture is often a mixture of the German, French and English connotations and implies everything that forms a society in terms of customs, habits and values, both in the spiritual and artistic as well as in the practical and everyday”, Erik Hehenkamp 2025

Writings on site specific work with cultural impact.

December 2025

About environmental art, site-specific art and language.

The CULT Foundation aims to: Initiate and develop site-specific art and performances in public space and make them accessible to a wide audience. What is the meaning of these terms and what is the history of art and cultural projects in public space? What is the importance of these projects and how can these initiatives best be developed?

MANIFESTO explores the possibilities for site-specific art in public space, by analyzing five case studies, researching the meaning and possibilities of art and performance in public space.: the need, the importance, the necessity. The scale, the spectrum.

This research is about language, definitions and the impact of art on public space and public life.
